Final Exam Preparation English 339 Fall 2011
The final exam takes place Monday for section 5 and Friday for section 4, as indicated on the syllabus.
The final exam will be a single essay question of about 500 words, which you have one hour to write. You may bring your texts to class. Please use an exam booklet and indicate on the cover whether you would like this essay to be counted for the GWR.
On the exam you will be given five of the following topics, out of which you will select one:
Compare and contrast in The Comedy of Errors and Othello:
1. the roles of satanic figures
2. the effects of jealousy
3. the experiences of marriage
4. the plot structure of making and unfolding errors
5. the responses to doubt
6. the functions of a prop: chain and handkerchief
7. the depiction of rage
