English 510--Midterm Exam preparation

The midterm exam will consist of three fifteen minute questions--one on each of the first three chapters of Shakespeare and the Bible and the primary texts they discuss.

1. What is meant by saying that The Tempest is a midrash on Genesis? Give examples.

2. What are the four major sections of Genesis? How can each be related to an aspect of The Tempest?

3. Compare the representation of "miracles" in Exodus and Henry V
